What is Lifestyle Medicine?


Lifestyle medicine is a life change that incorporates a whole and balanced intervention within your life habits and day to day activities.  These activities and changes are used as a modality to intensively treat and reverse chronic conditions such as cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity, depression and anxiety and more. 


Our lifestyle medicine certified practitioner can incorporate a prescriptive lifestyle into your day to day routine.  This encompasses:

Active Living

Stress Management

Restorative Sleep

Cultivated Connection

Risk Reduction


  • You share information about your health and your concerns and needs. (All information you provide is treated with strict confidentiality.) 
  • Together, we assess your health status, identify priorities, and set reasonable goals for improvement using the proven The American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) based on the pillars of lifestyle medicine (nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management, relationships, risk reduction).
  • We identify tools and skills to help you reach your goals and we map out your healthy living journey.
  • For the next 90 days (and beyond, depending on your goals) – the time it takes to form and commit to new habits – our team and registered nurse and certified lifestyle medicine practitioner Lisa Banks is available to counsel and support you. 
  • Healthy living is a journey – and we're with you every step of the way.   


The hustle and bustle of everyday life is chaotic enough.  It seems especially now, the weight of everyday life keeps us juggling more than enough balls between busy calendars and multiple appointments, priorities and commitments, family, misaligned and unbalanced needs and wants even can have us feeling like we're not even in the driving seat of our own lives.  This chaos can lead us to feeling like nothing is good enough, and that our own pace and rhythm is to be ignored.  Exhaustion sets in creating a shift in our own health.  Yet western society has adopted a reactive healthcare system that is costly, time-consuming, and draining.
